Rosacea

Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that typically begins between the ages of 30 and 60 and primarily affects the central area of the face. It is a condition that affects over 15 million individuals, and is marked by persistent redness that typically follows a relapsing-remitting pattern. Rosacea is often linked to issues with a patient’s immune, vascular, or nervous systems.

At Raleigh Laser & Aesthetics, we use laser therapy to provide significant aesthetic improvement for those that suffer from Rosacea. Our patients see substantial reductions in visible blood vessels after only a few treatments, with some seeing their redness go away entirely! If you want to minimize your rosacea flares and restore the confidence you once had, talk to one of our specialists about treating rosacea at our North Carolina clinic today!

FAQs

Our specialists at Raleigh Laser & Aesthetics utilize the Elite iQ laser system in order to minimize redness and establish an even skin tone. The Elite iQ system uses advanced technology to identify each individual patient’s skin tone and type in order to customize settings for an effective treatment. Concentrated pulses of light go directly into blood vessels causing redness and force them to slowly dissipate using the body’s natural healing process.

Most patients do not experience any substantial pain with laser treatment. Many equate the sensation to a tingling or a mild discomfort. Temporary discomfort is generally worth the long-term results, as our patients have shared.

Rosacea treatments generally take less than 30 minutes from start to finish.

Each treatment plan is customized for our individual patients, as skin types and issues are all different. That being said, the majority of patients experience quality results after one treatment. To experience complete results, a specialist may develop a plan that includes up to six total treatments, with optimal results of each treatment generally taking place in 6 weeks or less!

It’s important to let your skin heal after each treatment, letting the natural healing processes of the skin take effect. Therefore, we usually allow for four to six weeks between appointments.
